So I have some white cannellini I just soaked and cooked the other day for a yummy indian squash and kale soup. And have 2 cups of beans leftover. I saw your recipe here and want to give it a whirl! But I tried to figure out what these ing were and didn't have much luck. Could you explain a little more. 1/2 teaspoon urad, toor, or chana dal (optional)
Now when I look these up I don't think I am getting it. The chana dal says it is a lentil soup? Please explain so I can use my beans!

Katerina: Thank you. White beans and artichoke sounds excellent as well. I have also always liked just white bean, caramelized onion, and a lot of roasted garlic.

I love variations on hummus, you can get so creative and they are truly endless. My current favorite is white beans with goat cheese and artichokes.

I love the cumin used here and the parsley brings such a nice colour.
